The Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (TBA) is pleased to announce its Breed Smart Forum: Mating for Markets, set to take place on Thursday 28 November, during the Tattersalls December Foal Sale from 5pm and kindly sponsored by Streets Accountants.  

Following the success of last year’s Foal Forum, the focus of this year’s free to attend event will look at matings and discuss key considerations when it comes to selecting a stallion, the importance of trends, data and statistics in that process and breeding for the sales ring as well as the racetrack.  

An expert panel has been assembled bringing together a wealth of knowledge and expertise from statistical based analysis of pedigrees, finding value in stallion selection, considerations when entering into stallion/nominations agreements and the influence of trends. This will be followed by a Q&A session for attendees to get involved with.

Timings:

- Attendees are asked to arrive from 5pm for a welcome reception and networking opportunity attendees to network with other TBA members and breeding enthusiasts.

- The panel will start at 6pm-7pm and will be followed by a Q&A session for everyone to get involved with.
