TBA announce Cheltenham Festival Bloodstock Preview in partnership Weatherbys

With just under three weeks to go until 2025 Cheltenham Festival, in partnership with Weatherbys, the TBA today announces the return of its popular online Cheltenham Festival Bloodstock Preview which will take place on Wednesday 5 March from 6.30pm and will focus its attention on some of the main breeding influences going into this year’s showpiece in March.

Featuring a top-quality panel, the online preview will be hosted by bloodstock enthusiast and broadcaster, Jess Stafford, who will be joined by experts including leading Irish broadcaster and breeder, Jane Mangan, HRI’s Head of Racing and Insights, Richard Pugh, leading French bloodstock agent, Guy Petit along with breeder and former trainer, Will Kinsey.

Cheltenham previews continue to be a popular and key part of the build-up to the four-day Festival in March, but this live webinar which is FREE to join and open to anyone will point the spotlight on the bloodstock and breeding influences from the UK, France and Ireland.

Jess Stafford who will host the preview evening for a second year commented: “I really enjoyed hosting this preview last year though the eye of breeding. A very knowledgeable panel has been assembled this year and I’m looking forward to hearing the insights of our experts and how breeding influences can help us select a winner at Cheltenham in just under three weeks’ time.”

Nick Craven, Executive Director for Weatherbys added: “We are delighted to be teaming up once again with the TBA on this bloodstock specific Cheltenham preview. As we know it’s a fascinating subject and even more so when applied within the context of a race meeting such as the Cheltenham Festival.

“We really hope any interested bloodstock enthusiasts will join us for the live webinar and Q&A session with the extremely knowledgeable panel.”

Will Kinsey, breeder of Romeo Coolio, a leading contender for the Supreme Novices' Hurdle, said: “I am looking forward to discussing the Festival from a breeding perspective and delving into some of the influences and trends which aren't always considered when assessing potential winners at Cheltenham."

The Championship races will be dissected through the knowledge of our panellists with attention given to the sires and dams to focus on for the showpiece in March.
